Getty Images Editorial Inclusion Grants 2022

The Getty Images Inclusion Grants are open to photographers around the world with the aim of promoting greater diversity and inclusion within the photographic and media industries.
For this year's program, Getty Images will partner with the organizations Women Photograph and Diversify Photo to award a cumulative eight grants of $5,000 each to photographers from a range of professional specialties, such as news, sport and entertainment.
Editorial Grant For Photography Programs 2022

Getty Images is offering two $15,000 grants for organizations that support documentary photography and its practitioners, either through public engagement or professional development. These project‑based grants are intended for educational programs, workshops, exhibitions and other initiatives that reinforce the power of photography as a journalistic medium. The grants are open to non‑profit organizations of any size, worldwide.
Editorial Photography Grant: Forced Displacement
March 31 - May 15
Getty Images is offering three grants of $5,000 each to photographers and videographers reporting stories of forced displacement. Within this theme, judges will be looking for visual journalists to show how people around the world have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict, political persecution, community violence, human rights violations or other events that disturb the public order.

The inaugural iStock Inclusion Grants are dedicated to promoting the work of emerging creative artists seeking to draw attention to, and depict, underrepresented communities through their commercial photography work.
#ShowUs Grant: Body Positivity
September 15 - October 24
The #ShowUs Grant is dedicated to promoting the work of emerging women, femmes and non-binary commercial photographers and videographers. Judges will be looking for submissions which shatter stereotypes and conventions via Body Positivity – let’s celebrate the unique journeys of what it means to exist as women, femmes and non-binary people in the world. We wish to honour the full spectrum of diverse experiences – from thriving in one’s body, to having a more challenging relationship to it – all experiences are valid, welcome, and appreciated.

This year, Getty Images will offer four scholarships of $10,000 each in partnership with four organizations: Women Photograph, National Association of Black Journalists, Asian American Journalists Association and the National Association of Hispanic Journalist.
Editorial Photography: Community Resilience

Continuing our tradition of supporting in‑depth photojournalism through our Editorial Grants program, Getty Images is offering three grants of $5,000 each to photographers and videographers reporting stories of community resilience in the wake of the Covid‑19 pandemic. Within this theme, judges will be looking for visual journalists to show how communities around the world are recovering from the pandemic’s far‑reaching impact on public health, jobs, education and other aspects of human welfare.
Grant submissions should focus on how individuals, businesses, volunteer organizations and local governments are helping communities recover from ‑ and adapt to ‑ the long‑term disruptive challenges posed by the pandemic.
#ShowUs Grant: Women Relationships

With Getty Images' mission to move the world, we are partnering with Dove and Girlgaze to promote diversity within creative commercial photography and videography, elevating the work and the voices of women, female‑identifying and non‑binary artists.
iStock One‑Minute Films: Resiliency
July 20 - May 21
The challenge to create content which is all at once moving, ground‑breaking and inspiring, remains—the challenge to tap into one’s power of creative resiliency and create for the benefit of others. The iStock Creative Bursary, One‑Minute Films: Resiliency, open to all emerging and aspiring filmmakers (including students and those who are honing their practice independently) around the globe.
ShowUs Grant: Leadership
March 25 - April 29
The #ShowUs Grant is dedicated toward promoting the work of emerging artists and is open to women, female identifying and non‑binary commercial photographers and videographers. Judges will be looking for submissions which represent Leadership in all its forms – this can be mother leading/teaching daughter, friend guiding friend, or women in professional leadership settings.
